London arrival | Settle in before the early train
Travel independently to London and check in at the confirmed 3-star Zone 1 hotel, which remains your base for both nights. The day has no included activities, so use the available time to settle in and enjoy London without a timetable. An unhurried evening is a sensible choice: review the rail instructions, plan your route to King's Cross and prepare for the very early start to Edinburgh. Overnight in London.
Edinburgh by rail | Castle, Old Town and city viewpoints
Begin early and make your way to London King's Cross in time for the check-in instructions shown in your travel documents. Travel by train to Edinburgh Waverley, arriving in the city centre. Your day includes timed admission to Edinburgh Castle and a hop-on hop-off sightseeing ticket, giving you a practical way to connect the Old Town, major landmarks and viewpoints while choosing where to spend longer. Allow enough time to return to Waverley for the confirmed evening train to London. Arrival back in the capital is late in the evening. Overnight in London.
A restorative London morning | Check-out after Edinburgh
Following the late return from Scotland, Day 3 is deliberately light. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and take the morning slowly, whether that means resting a little longer or stepping out for a short walk close to your London base. Check out in accordance with the hotel's stated time; luggage storage is available only when the property can provide it. Make your own onward connection unless a separate departure transfer has been arranged.

The package includes two nights in a 3-star London Zone 1 hotel, with breakfast on both mornings. Because Day 2 starts very early and ends late, confirm breakfast availability or an alternative arrangement for the rail departure morning. The hotel remains the London base for both nights.

Return London-Edinburgh rail travel is included. Exact trains, ticket restrictions, seat reservations and collection or delivery instructions are confirmed in the travel documents. The Edinburgh sightseeing bus is included, but transfers between the London hotel and King’s Cross are independent. Keep sufficient margin for both rail departures.
